Nursery Reveal -Neutral Nursery Ideas
FINALLY I am showing you guys the nursery. It has been a long time coming. I am so blessed to have a mother and mother-in-law that helped me decorate the nursery just before baby Blake arrived. As most of you know, our crib was on back order for the longest time. We actually received it the week after Blake was born. So our nursery was not quite finished until after baby boy came. I also did not focus on the room a whole lot because I didn’t have the crib as a focus point before Blake came. So I had been waiting on that. But my mom and mother-in-law swooped in with all of their ideas to help me see it without the crib. We ended up going shopping to make the ideas come to life.
After we had bought everything, my mom and mother-in-law put it all together while I was at work one day. It means so much to me that they helped and put the room together. I obviously would have never been able to make it look so good by myself.
When Blake’s Little Seeds crib finally came I was so excited to put it in the room to finally have a finished nursery. The crib was gifted to us by Little Seeds and I am forever grateful because it is exactly what Joe and I wanted.
Now that our nursery is finished, we get to share it with all of you. All of the photos were done by Sarah Schwartz Photography. You can shop our nursery items below.
I did floating shelves higher on the wall than most people. I decided that we were not going to be in our apartment when Blake is actually moving around and able to get books on his own. Also the way the walls work out in this room, this was the only way I was going to make the floating shelves work among the other furniture.
Our rocking chair has been amazing. I sit in it at night to nurse and when people are over at our house. He loves to be rocked to sleep after a feeding so this chair has been a life saver. Our lamp is from Home Goods and the little table is from Hobby Lobby.
