The Wedding Dress of my Dreams

My wedding dress was a dream come true. It made me feel like a princess and I couldn't be any happier with how I looked and felt that day. I went for a ball gown style by Hayley Paige. I fell in love with Hayley Paige years ago (my best friend will second this!) and specifically looked for bridal salons that carried her dresses. I fell in love with my dress the moment I put it on. My first question was "how much is this one?" and she laughed and told me it was just in my budget, which was a win! 

I knew that I wanted a ball gown style so I didn't even try on other styles. I do regret that just a little bit but I was certain that I knew what I wanted. I would never in a million years change my mind on my dress so I think it is okay that I didn't even try on other styles. 

The detail in the top of my dress is what sold me. It was just enough to stand out but not over do it for me. I never wanted anything that was too blingy because I've always been shy and never wanted to stand out too much at my wedding (crazy I know) but this dress was perfect! I cannot thank Hayley Paige enough for designing the dress of my dreams. 

As any newlywed will tell you, there is always something that goes wrong on the wedding day! Luckily mine was very small and not that big of a deal to me. When I turned to walk down the isle, my veil caught on the wood post. I luckily had issues with it before getting stuck in the trees before when we were taking pictures before the ceremony. So I had told my wedding planner (if you need one, you need to contact mine! Click here for their site!) if it gets stuck to just pull it out of my hair. And that is exactly what she had to do. She pulled it out when it got stuck on the post and so I do not have my veil for the ceremony or pictures after. We forgot to put it back in for the rest of the night.
