5 Reasons Every Girl Should Do a Boudoir Shoot!
I have two VERY different experiences with boudoir shoots, and I have to share both to give you reasons why you should do one yourself! Boudoir is not something I ever saw myself doing, but when my wedding came around I wanted to for my future husband. I won a shoot at a bridal event and thought wow this will be perfect for me! I got ready, felt pretty and then showed up to the studio. It was not what I had expected. The room was dark and she had to use artificial lighting and I am a sucker for natural lighting on all of my pictures. I didn't feel comfortable in her studio and you know what, my pictures sucked. I didn't like my face in any of the pictures because I was uncomfortable and they were supposed to be a wedding gift to my husband, but I was too embarrassed by them to even share them.
So fast forward a few months after my wedding... still haven't shown the hubby my pictures. I felt really bad because they were his wedding gift! Then I get an email from Fiona from Flawless. I looked at their site and portfolio and thought YES! I have to do this!! I didn't even ask the hubby, I just told him (such a great wife hehe!). I went shopping and bought the cutest bodysuit and knew I was ready for this one. I arrived and Fiona was the nicest person ever!! She welcomed me with a hug and made me feel right at home. Blyss from The Industry in Del Mar did an amazing job on my hair and makeup! I could not have asked for more beautiful pictures. They made me feel confident while I was there and felt like we have known each other for months!
1. self-confidence: getting your hair and makeup done and putting on something that makes you beautiful changes everything! I felt like a million bucks after my shoot. I forced my hubby to take me out to a nice dinner that night since I was ready for it anyway!
2. you and your significant other will love them: I am obsessed with my pictures. They make me feel better than I could ever imagine and my husband loves them too!
3. It's a lot of fun... with Flawless! I cannot thank Fiona and Blyss for making me feel beautiful in that moment. They made me feel amazing the entire time I was there!
